Karnataka Chief Minister receives Bhagavad-gita As It Is

Devotees of Iskcon Bangalore are enthusiastically participating in the ongoing Srila Prabhupada's Book Marathon 2011 and distributing more and more books. As a part of Book Marathon, devotees presented Srila Prabhupada's Bhagavad-gita As It Is to the Honorable Chief Minister of Karnataka, Sri Sadananada Gowda on Wednesday, 21 December 2011 during the Legislature Assembly Meeting of BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party). The devotees addressed the meeting in which over 150 MLAs and dignitaries were present, on the importance of the teachings of Bhagavad-gita in the human society. Impressing upon the seriousness of the ban on Bhagavad-gita in Russia, they also elicited the assembly’s support in protesting against the ban which was very much welcomed and appreciated by everyone. All the dignitaries were presented a copy of Srila Prabhupada’s Bhagavad-gita As It Is.
