Demigod Worship in ISKCON Continues

We have shown photographic evidence of the continuing influence of demigod worship in ISKCON. The New Raman Reti, ISKCON Alachua Celebrated Shiva Ratri Festival Today.

Above, we provide yet more photographic evidence of the growing influence of demigod worship in ISKCON, this time at the New Raman Reti, ISKCON Alachua, where deity of  Lord Shiva (Shiva-lingam) were brought in procession into the temple. The temple authorities have justified the worship of these demigods by claiming that they are worshiping them as persons who can help them in their Krishna consciousness

But Srila Prabhupada has not sanctioned the worship of demigods in ISKCON temples, regardless of the reason for worshiping them.
"[…] this Krsna consciousness movement simply advocates worship of Krsna to the exclusion of the demigods."
(Srimad-Bhagavatam, 4.31.14 purport)
"The greatest danger to our movement will come when we manufacture and create our own process for worshiping the deities."
(Srila Prabhupada Letter, 4/1/73)

"But if everyone says that "I can manufacture my own way of worshiping the Deity," then what will be the condition? It will be simply pandemonium. "
(Srila Prabhupada Lecture, 22/6/72)

"The Deity worship should be done just in the way it was carried out in my presence."
(Srila Prabhupada Letter, 13/11/70)
