Honorable High Court of Karnataka slaps notice to ISKCON Mumbai

February 17, 2012: A petition was filed before High Court of Karnataka to expunge (disparaging comments) remarks made against Madhu Pandit Das(President), Chanchalapathi Das (Vice President of ISKCON Bangalore) and others in the final High Court judgment dtd. 23\5\2011 of RFA. 421\2009.



The RFA 421\2009 was disposed by a bench of Justice Nagmohan Das and Justice Arali Nagaraj in favor of ISKCON Mumbai against which ISKCON Bangalore had filed a Special Leave Petition (SLP No. 15814) before the Supreme Court of India which is listed for final disposal on next Wednesday, 22/2/2012.



The petition for expunging came up for hearing today (February 17, 2012) before a special bench constituted by Justice Nagmohan Das and Justice Bopanna. The High Court of Karnataka issued notice to ISKCON Mumbai and other defendants. The Petition for hearing of expunging application is posted on 9/3/2012.
