Sri Nitai Gauranga installed at Hare Krishna Movement Hyderabad



The Gaura Purnima festival at Hare Krishna Movement, Hyderabad was marked with a special feature as Their Lordships Sri Sri Nitai Gauranga descended there. The festival was marked by the installation of beautiful, lotus-eyed Deities of Sri Sri Nitai Gauranga. The ceremony began with performance of Narasimha Homa. The Deities were offered a grand abhisheka with panchamrita, fruit juices, herbal water, sanctified water in 108 kalashas, varieties of flowers. Special aratis of various kinds were also offered to Their Lordships. The whole ceremony was accompanied by Vedic chants and Harinam sankirtana.
After the abhisheka, an offering of 56 items, traditionally known as ‘chhappan bhog’ was made. This was followed by an arati which had its own  significance as it was arati offered to Sri Nitai Gauranga after Their formal installation. There was a brief speech by Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa, President, HKM Hyderabad, on understanding the position and glories of Sri Nitai Gauranga.
The assembled devotees enthusiastically participated in the ceremony by participating in the sankirtan and other festivities. All present there were mesmerized with the enchanting beauty of Sri Nitai Gauranga and filled their hearts with the divine vision of Their Lordships. The ceremony was concluded with distribution of Sri Gaura Nitai’s Mahaprasadam.
