ISKCON Mumbai devotees Prays for Bal Thackeray

Devotees and members of the four ISKCON temples in Mumbai express their deep condolences on the sad demise of Shri Balasaheb Thackeray on 17 November 2012 to his family and team members.
As a mark of respected to the departed soul, several ISKCON devotees engaged in Hare Krishna mantra kirtan at Shivaji Park where his body was brought for darshan and last rites.
In 1972, when some miscreants attacked the Deities of Sri Sri Radha Rasabihari at the then under-construction ISKCON temple at Juhu, late Shri Balasaheb Thackeray gave orders to stop the attack and helped to protect the Deities. Devotees at ISKCON have always felt a sense of profound gratitude to Balasaheb for his timely intervention to safeguard the Deities.
Devotees of all four ISKCON temple in Mumbai, namely at Juhu, Girgaum Chowpatty, Mira Road and Khargar, pray that may his soul rest in peace and may Lord Krishna give his family and team members the strength to bear this huge loss.
